John bornoty the big salad4/30/2023 “Goal setting is his thing he loves to see people achieve their goals. “My husband is one of the hardest workers I know,” Elizabeth Bornoty said. A new Hudson’s Maurice salad, which is popular throughout the Midwest, is also in the works. Customers should look out for new salads and salad dressings that will be introduced during the next few weeks at both locations. The new location will have no changes in the menu, Elizabeth Bornoty said. “I really enjoy having people who are using their school talents, such as culinary arts, working here at The Big Salad,” he said. John Bornoty also works with schools to help create internship opportunities. Most of the employees that the restaurant plans on hiring are students who are working on master’s degrees in culinary arts. “We should be able to train the managers and employees using the new software.” “My husband and I have developed a software program to do the ordering and inventory, which we are getting ready to launch,” Elizabeth Bornoty said. Her husband said he currently works in an office in his home, but is looking forward to working in a new office located in the back of the new Troy location. She is also in charge of ordering and inventory. What students might not know is that she is working at The Big Salad after school and on weekends, training employees and launching a new software program. “We have quite a few people who are interested, which might help expand to where we may not be able to go,” she said.Īs students and staff know, Elizabeth Bornoty said she is at school all day, teaching Pre-Calculus, Honors Pre-Calculus and Advanced Math. In the future, the Bornoty’s say they has a goal of expanding the franchise to several different locations throughout Michigan and have already been contacted by different people wanting to open up store franchises in cities such as Royal Oak and Grand Rapids. “We have one focus store, and we’ve certainly learned a lot here.” “The whole purpose of getting into this business was to build a franchise,” he said. The new restaurant will be twice the size of the first location, seating 46 people. They have had several people ask to open a second location and the space just happened to become available in Troy, she said. “A year after we opened, he started to actively pursue the task.” “Ever since we opened, he knew that we were going to open a second location,” Elizabeth Bornoty said.
